Thx1138 on "SSL passthrough?"

Ok just a quick update as I got this working.

I updated the group to remove the HTTP checks and under HTTP options disabled "Force HTTP close" and "HTTP redispatch". The servers then reported as being up and the URLs started working. This experience has shown me that Snapt could benefit from another screencast of basic SSL handling.

To review you need two groups: a port 80 farm and a port 443 farm. Create the port 80 farm as per the screencast. Create the port 443 farm but remember it requires TCP (not HTTP) in the "balance mode." Also disable non-SSL related checks.

I do get a response from the LB when I telnet to port 443. Technically I got a blank screen and had to hit CTRL-C to get back to a prompt.

I did create a second group called farmSSL and created servers for it that listen on port 443. And I switched from HTTP to TCP in the group's "balance mode". But I am still not able to get to the https addresses.

However, the system is reporting those servers as down and when I restart them it fails again. I have telnet to the individual servers on port 443 plus go directly to their https://IPaddress and that works. So I am not sure what else to do.

Possibly you have set your port 443 server to use HTTP (the default mode) instead of TCP. What happens when you try to telnet to port 443 on the load balancer?

I can get to the http addresses of my website but not https address.

I tried adding a server that listened on ports 80 and 443 but that didn't work either. As I have trial version I am not able to install SSL termination but that is not what I want any way.

I do believe that adding a server that listened on both ports 80 & 443 should have worked but it didn't perhaps I entered this wrong? in the ports section I added: 80,433

Is that the correct format?

Hi Rostislav,
The live demo unfortunately can be changed a lot by anyone so we reset it weekly.

The bundles are for 32bit operating systems only at the moment. You can use the standard package though on any operating system if you need.

You can download the HAProxy plugin directly through the Snapt GUI, but if you don't have a connection you can go to the client site (https://client.snapt-ui.com) and go to "Downloads", then select "HAProxy" (next to Framework) and click the download HAProxy button.

If you have any trouble you can open a free support ticket using the client site aswell (https://client.snapt-ui.com/supportadmin/supportadmin.php)

Thank you

Hello !
Thanks for your product HA Proxy.
By this way, I want to look at the features of this product.
But live demo is not work well. The Daemon HAProxy is Not Running!

Error![ALERT] 075/040039 (88091) : config : HTTP proxy ttt has a cookie but no server list !
Error![ALERT] 075/040039 (88091) : Fatal errors found in configuration.

It's a failure.

OK, i have another way. It's install Snapt Bundle. I was setup Ubuntu 10.10 x64 in my closed test infrastructure from VmWare. But /usr/local/snapt/start.sh doesn't start. Why ?
File /usr/local/snapt/sbin/lighttpd compiled for x86. You described it in the documentation, is not it?
It's a failure.

OK, i installed Ubuntu 10.10 x86. Start start.sh Look at http://localhost:8080
Thanks God. It's work. But where is HAProxy plugin ? I must install from network but ours test infrastructure is closed for Internet. I go to "Client site" - "Downloads" section, but no plugin available.
Is it a failure or not ?

--
Best regard,
Rostislav.

Hi,
All versions of Snapt allow logo customization as a standard, you can also change the CSS which is well commented and documented. If you are looking at "on-selling" the product I advise you sign up as a referrer to get commission on the sales.

Thanks

Hi,
If you download a bundle package (there is one available for Ubuntu 10) it will include everything you need (webserver, etc). Otherwise the download comes with documentation included on what you need - basically a webserver with PHP support and the Ioncube loaders (included in documentation). Once you have done that the install process will guide you through the rest

Thanks
